I Lied!

I said I’d do this post yesterday but I’ve left it to today instead!

Zoo! Ace! If ye forget the fact that there’s hunnerds of species of wild animal all locked up in wee jails so that we can poke them aboot and find out how they shag and that. I’m no an animal activist in any way shape or form, but sometimes there’s a sad lookin wan and ye get a bit emotional.

Anyway, it was Rhiannon (my missus) Fatman (my mate Tom) and me who drove through and we got a lovely day and some cool photos. I took some with real old fashioned film too, so I’ll be getting them back in a few days and you’s lot will never get to see them! HA!

Chimps! Almost human! On the swings!

The part I wish I could have got a photo of I couldn’t. I’ll make sense of that statement. As anyone who has been to Edinburgh Zoo will already know, the Zoo is on a steep hill, just next to and up the hill from the chimps on the swings and climbing frames is a playground for kids with swings and a climbing frame. Irony in the hearts of the Zoologists? I think so. But I couldn’t take a picture. In the society of fear the news man and his propaganda are king of public opinion, so all parents fear the millions and millions of paedophiles that live in this country (fair enough, nobody wants a kiddie fiddler snatching their wean) but i find it strange that I can’t even bring myself to take a photo to show the aforementioned irony and have a giggle for fear of being destroyed by a raging parent (Wait! Have I fallen into and under the spell of the fear?)

This Is my fave guy! My mate Rhino, sans horn. He looked like an anamatronic puppet, but he was lovin it, trotting about looking happy, loving attention. I want one to ride around on! Imagine!

I got a few photo’s of penguins and ye have to love penguins but they really really stink of fish, fair doos like, all they eat is fish like, this is the best picture. I got a couple of pictures of the penguin parade too but it’s not as cool as it sounds. No floats, no giant inflatables, not even some fish eating antics, just a big crowd and push parents telling their kids to squeeze past the folk who had the sense to get there first and get a good spot to see the penguins go by, why can’t people be nice? The guys above are Emperor Penguins, like the ones in that film with the march and aw that. I was thinking to myself that they maybe can fire bolts of Electric Jedi Energy out of their flipper like wings, but then I thought no, no they can’t.

How come when I’m writing my own blog I’m never as cool as when I’m writing in someone else’s? There are loads of blogs that I decide to write wee comments in and Limmy’s Blog is my favorite as he’s a guy from the same point of view as me and I’m living vicariously through his experiences of a world tour. But why do I waste all my good material on his site instead of publishing it here? Am I that inadequate that I have to use his site as my forum, nobody ever comments here. I don’t get many visitors and all in all after reviewing what I have written over the last few months I’ve got a rubbish blog . I even know as I write this that this self loathing and self pity isn’t doing me any favours either. Even if people read this they consider me needy and/or double bluffing them… therefore comments still wont start swimming in… my patter is pish, face it and understand it…

I’m not giving up though!

I’m too bloody minded for that!

Screw it! I’m just gonna have to write stuff more like the comments I leave on Limmy’s site and hope that someday someone will read them and call me a cock breather too!
